Brief History of the Barangay


Barangay Silangan I is one of the 20 politically subdivided barangays in the Municipality of Rosario, Province of Cavite. The name Silangan I originated from the tagalog term "silangan" meaning “east”. People of the barrio called it “Silangan” because it is located at the municipality’s eastern portion where the sun rises. It is the 6th largest barangay in Rosario, Cavite.


Land Area

Barangay Silangan I has a total land area of 2.56523 hectares.


Demography

Based on the PSA Census 2015, the population of barangay Silangan I was 7,683 people with a density of  300 per hectare.
