Rosario Institute aimed at helping in the post war rehabilitation of the country, the Rosario Institute opened its doors to the graduates of elementary schools of Rosario and nearby towns in 1946.

Only first year classes were offered then, with an initial enrollment of 151 students. Since its foundation, the Rosario Institute has continuously given unstinted support to the campaigns of the Philippine National Red Cross, Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Girl Scouts of the Philippines and other humanitarian agencies.

Cavite College of Arts and Industries (CCAT) –- which is now Cavite State University – CCAT Campus by virtue of CHED Memorandum Order No. 27, series of 2000 and BOR Resolution No. 2, series of 2001 –- instituted a high school department recognized by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports by virtue of DECS Memo No. 20, series of 1973.

Since one of the courses offered in the university is Education, the campus is allowed to maintain a laboratory school under CHED Memorandum No. 52, series of 2007, section 6, which will provide a venue for pre-service teachers to undertake their field study. Thus, the existing high school department established in early 70’s became the Laboratory Science High School with its selection, retention and manual of operation of the LSHS is patterned after the Science High School unit of CvSU main Campus.

HISTORICAL GLIMPSE

 The establishment of a Catholic school in Rosario, Cavite is a great breakthrough, this being the first and the only one in Rosario, Cavite.  Finally, the day has come where everyone can take pride in not just a long-awaited dream but a reality.  Santo Rosario Catholic School is now among the 30 parochial schools operating in the entire Diocese of Imus. 

The Diocese of Imus, thru the Office of the Superintendent of Diocesan Schools and Director of Catholic Education represented by Rev. Fr. Alain P. Manalo and the Most Holy Rosary Parish represented by the former parish priest, Rev. Fr. Gilberto D. Urubio, were the principal proponents of this project.
